Tribal NGOs Consortium launched

An important meeting of the FATA based NGOs was held in Peshawar which was presided by Malik Luqman Afridi and participated by the representatives of almost all the civil society organizations of FATA. The participants unanimously agreed to rename their respective networks working in FATA as Tribal NGOs Consortium (TNC). Now the united plate form after merger will be a representative body of the tribal organizations and the TNC will be working for the well being and welfare of the people and organizations of FATA. Zar Ali khan musazai was named as the first Chairman while Manzoor Afridi as General Secretary, Sameena Afridi vice Chairperson and Iftikhar Mullagori as Press Secretary of TNC respectively. Ameer Khan, Master Khan Habib Afridi, Zarteef Khan Afridi, Ghani Rehman, Iqbal Afridi, Nisar Mohmand, Dr. Ali Haider, Gulzaman, Majeed Afridi, Younas Khan Orakzai, Ali Wazir, Zaman Wazir, Farooq Shah, Shams Naveed, Sabit Gul, Naushad Afridi, Atlas Khan Sherani, Ashraf Ali, and Ashrafullah Dawar were declared as the members of Steering Committee of TNC. The Tribal NGOs Consortium would extend its all possible support to the FATA based civil Society Organizations, strengthening their coordination, resolving the issues concerning NGOs, Building the capacity of organizations and their members and raising the issues of tribesmen on each and every plate form to apprise all and sundry about the problems of people in FATA. Consortium will be struggling peacefully to help alleviate poverty by strong and co coordinated support of the grass level community based organizations of FATA and would increase their capacity to work for the promotion of peace, welfare and development of the area in question and its inhabitants alike.
