FATA deprived of National Games
Peshawar: Tribal NGOs Consortium has condemned the expulsion of FATA from forth coming National games which are being held in Peshawar commencing from December 25, 2010. These views were expressed by Zar Ali Khan Chairman Tribal NGOs Consortium (TNC) during a press conference in Peshawar Press Club. He was accompanied by Noor Aslam Khan Afridi Chairman Tribal Sports Association and sports Secretary TNC and Manzoor Afridi Secretary TNC. Besides a large number of the sportsmen from FATA were also present on this occasion. He said that FATA has already been neglected and people are deprived and frustrated due to ongoing militancy and terrorism there and in such situations expulsion of the plays of the FATA from National games is an other blow to the already deprived people especially youth of the FATA. Noor Aslam Khan Afridi said that Arif Hassan Chairman Olympic had allowed the players of FATA to participate in National games but there are few black sheep in FATA sports board who do not want to see FATA players participating in national games. It was demanded of the Governor Pakhtunkhwa to order for formation of an impartial committee to investigate and punish the corrupt people who are depriving sportsmen of FATA from National games.
